What is Acro?

Acro focuses on building the strength, flexibility, and body control needed to safely and correctly perform acrobatic skills. Dancers will develop core, upper body, and lower body strength, along with the muscular endurance required to execute acro movements such as cartwheels, limbers, walkovers, handsprings, and more.

Levels of Acro

  • Level A – basic understanding of a bridge and willingness to go upside down
  • Level B – bridge kick overs and front limbers
  • Level C – back AND front walkovers from a starting position with 1 foot in front of the other
  • Level D – standing back handspring AND consistent front AND back walkovers
