Below is a list of policies and procedures for e-dance center. Please be sure to ready over carefully.

Commitment

Enrolling in the Fall/Spring Dance Session is a 9 month long commitment (September 6, 2022 – June 11, 2023). Please know and understand this before enrolling. E-dance center teachers, and staff expect you to attend your classes each week and to participate in the end of the year show (June 10,11 2023). If you feel you are not interested in dancing the whole 9 months and/or participating in the end of the year show then this is not the program/dance school for you.

Behavior

e-dance center expects students and parents/guardians to behave in an appropriate manner to other students, parents, instructors and administrative staff.
Inappropriate behavior or language (disrespectful, rude or inconsiderate etc.) may be cause for dismissal.

This includes all time inside the studio and communications (emails, phone calls, texts, social media).

Other examples of inappropriate behavior at e-dance center are:
– NO running, playing, yelling in the waiting areas, outside the building or in the studios before or after class.
– NO bullying, teasing or bothering other people any time.
– Those in the building are not allowed to hangout in offices, empty studios, empty dressing rooms or bathrooms. Waiting areas are in the hallway or lobby upstairs only. If you are outside the building on e-dance center property, there is absolutely no vaping of smoking allowed.
– Please pick up your trash, food crumbs, and do not leave things in the waiting areas while you are in class or when you are done with them.

Inappropriate behavior will be dealt with as follows:
1st offense – student will be talked to
2nd offense – parent/guardian will be contacted
3rd offense – dismissal from e-dance center

Studio Use

Students of e-dance center can use the studio spaces for a fee of $10 per hour to practice etc. Students are not allowed to hang out in studios when empty or to just use without asking permission from the e-dance center office first.

Attendance

To be fair to the other students and the teachers, a student needs to be prepared for each class. Attendance will be taken. Class attendance is very important and crucial for improvement and progression. Excused absences are those that have been sent to Ms Blake at info@e-dancecenter.com in advanced of class. Unexcused absences will affect you participation in class.

After three unexcused and/or excused classes have been missed the student’s participation in dance classes and in the end of the year show will be discussed with a parent/or guardian or adult student. Letting Ms Blake know the reason for your absence will help as staff decide on participation in class and show. Being 10 or more minutes late to class will count as an unexcused absence.

There will also be mandatory show practices scheduled. Dress rehearsal and Show dates will be listed on our website. Please check on these dates and if for any reason you cannot be at these rehearsals you must communicate this personally with Danny Aldous, owner or Blake Banta, executive administrator in a timely manner, as missing these practices will affect participation in the show.
